Greetings, I’m Surya Keerthi, and I’m on a mission to safeguard our natural world and the fascinating creatures that call it home. As a snake rescuer and wildlife conservationist, my journey is driven by a deep passion for preserving the delicate balance of our ecosystems.
This Is My Story
Suryakeerthi, a passionate wildlife rescuer and conservationist born and brought up in the city of Mysore, Karnataka. Having a childhood filled with animals around gave him an opportunity to understand and know about them in a much more closer range. Following the footsteps of animal rescues from his father, he has also recognised himself as a rescuer of both wild and domestic animals that are in need of care, compassion, treatment and medical facility or rehabilitation.
Having rescued more than 20,000 snakes including other wild and domestic animals. Having a opportunity to grow up with snakes has empowered and influenced him to know and work on the conservation aspect of urban wildlife mitigation, although Shyam never stood beside to train / teach in any way, the behaviour, handling and understanding them has been voluntarily adapted over the years with experience and experiments by spending most number of time alongside the rescued animals.
My Work
As a snake rescuer, I respond to calls from concerned individuals and local authorities to safely relocate snakes from urban areas, ensuring the safety of both the snakes and the people involved. Every rescue is an opportunity to dispel myths and foster a greater appreciation for these reptiles.
However, my commitment extends beyond snake rescues. I’m deeply involved in broader wildlife conservation efforts. Whether it’s protecting the habitats of these creatures, advocating for policies that safeguard their well-being, or spreading awareness through workshops and educational programs, I strive to make a meaningful impact.

Suryakeerthi Conservation Project
The core initiative and planning of the Suryakeerthi Conservation Project has been a dream come true as most of the people in today’s generation have limited access to knowledge about the environmental and animal conservation or people not choosing this as a profession where there’s no income that can be used to lead a life. He has been doing his best to motivate people to join hands together for a cause that has been keeping us living and sustaining on this planet. As not many people are willing to work for biodiversity and wildlife conservation, as mentioned above has no income to lead a decent life, people often choose education to do well in their personal lives, but according to him if everyone is so much self centred thinking about their own lives, whose gonna think and work on the only beings that created this environment that is sustainable for us to live, thrive, survive? That’s what motivated him to come up with this initiative to make rescue / conservation look like a trend to encourage more people involve in this directly or support indirectly in ways which helps in making this work. Finally it’s about the legacy that’s left behind for future generations to save and conserve what’s been destroyed already and create an impact to give life to more conservationists.
